Homework can seem like it just shouldn’t exist at all. What’s the point of school in the first place if you still have to go home and do the same stuff anyway? Homework actually serves a very crucial purpose: It helps you remember what you learned in class and it shows you which aspects of your lesson you didn’t properly understand. If you need help with your homework, here are a few tips to help you in your search:
Ask the closest person
While you do your homework you can sometimes get useful explanations from your parents or siblings. It can’t hurt to ask and even if they don’t understand what you’re doing fully, just the act of getting input from someone else may be enough to give you a nudge in the right direction.
Go back to the teacher
If the assignment spans several days you can approach your teach for some extra tips the next day after trying it on your own. If you ask for help or explanations without trying it makes you seem lazy but if you ask after giving it your all it makes you seem dedicated.
Look in a book
Textbooks often contain answers, solutions and explanation to the hardest problems. Check through your assigned text book and any other texts you can get your hands on. This may be a good time to use your library card if you have one or to get one if you don’t. The internet is a vast resource but there are some things you can’t freely, easily or legally access online.
Employ a search engine
The internet is still an awesome resource. Use a search engine and you may be able to find the answer to your question verbatim. If not you may still find something so similar that you can figure the rest out on your own.
Send out a request on social media
Not everyone has thousands of friends in their network but through social media you may be linked to hundreds of thousands of people who might just help you if they knew your problem. Stop posting cat pictures for a moment and post something about your assignment and see what responses it generates.
Like most things, it seems hard when you try it initially but finding homework help can quickly become part of your regular routine.
